Channelling Investments to the Renovation of Social Housing in Europe

This webinar will discuss innovative financing mechanisms to scale up renovation of social housing in Europe, overcome market barriers and help households struggling to pay their bills.

The 23 October 2020 from 10:30 to 12:00 Brussels time

Local authorities must find money to support the renovation of social housing.

SEI Forums, a European Commission initiative, is hosting a webinar on Channelling Investments to the Renovation of Social Housing in Europe, on Friday 23 October 2020 from 10:30 to 12:00 CEST

The webinar will explore innovative financing mechanisms to scale up renovation of social housing, overcoming market barriers and failures, and how to help households struggling with their bills, as the European Green Deal foresees.

Discussions will be of particular interest to housing associations, banks, holdings and national financial institutions, public authorities at national, regional and local levels, and practitioners and project developers within the energy community.

The webinar will hear four presentations from Housing Europe, the LEMON project (Horizon 2020), the European Investment Bank, and the major Belgian bank Belfius (specialised in financing for local authorities).

Time will be allowed for questions and answers after each presentation.

The webinar will be held in English and will be moderated by Jean-François Marchand of SEI Forums.
