Friday 15th of March 2024, 17:00 CET. The 6th call for applications of the European City Facility (EUCF) closed with 263 applications received.
After an incredible success of the first call for applications, back in September 2020, when the EUCF received 257 applications, the following calls never registered such a high number.
The EUCF consortium, of which FEDARENE is member, is thrilled to see such growing interest among small and medium size municipalities in Europe.
But the number of applications is not the only record of this call. Indeed, it also registered the widest geographical coverage among the 6 calls: 27 out of 29 EUCF eligible countries submitted at least 1 application, as shown in the graph below.
At the end of the evaluation process, 75 applicants will be selected and will receive 60.000 euro for developing an investment concept for their clean energy projects.
In addition to the above grant, applicants will also be targeted by tailored capacity building to boost municipalities’ skills and capacities in: project management, development of the investment concept, financing, etc.
Beneficiaries of the EUCF calls will also be involved in networking and peer learning opportunities to foster joint actions and bundling of projects.
This incredible result is, first all all, thanks to the expertise and commitments of the EUCF country experts, who in the past months have intensively supported municipalities in the submission of their applications. As FEDARENE, we would like to thank all the FEDARENE members working as country expert. This success is your success!
If you missed the chance to apply to this call, do not worry! A new call will be launched in Autumn this year. Register to the call alert to not miss it: EUCF – Call Alert (eucityfacility.eu)
