Who can join FEDARENE?

Local and Regional Energy Agencies

Energy agencies are non-profit organisations mandated to support public authorities, companies, and citizens in implementing sustainable energy policies. With their independent, client-focused approach, they provide expert advice and overcome barriers through collaboration. Acting as facilitators, energy agencies help develop and implement projects, offering tailored solutions that drive regional energy transitions. Their expertise and role as market facilitators make them essential players in achieving sustainable energy goals, fostering innovation, and aligning regional priorities with broader EU objectives.

Local and Regional Public Authorities

Regions are uniquely positioned to lead the energy transition, thanks to their proximity to stakeholders and their responsibilities in housing, transport, and territorial planning. Regional authorities and departments have the capacity to implement, coordinate, and facilitate sustainable energy and environmental policies. Through interregional cooperation and strategic planning, they aggregate local projects and create more effective climate and energy strategies. Regions also play a crucial role in engaging local communities and facilitating policy implementation, ensuring that the energy transition is inclusive and impactful.
