The Citizen Energy Advisory Hub (CEAH) recently launched its Technical Assistance (TA) programme to help 120 initiatives deliver citizen-led energy across the EU.
The TA programme will begin providing support in Spring 2026, which will continue until early 2027. Apply by 16 January 2026 to be considered for the TA programme.
What Support is Offered?
This call for applications is open to citizen energy initiatives across the EU at all stages of maturity. Recipients can receive support across 5 categories:
- Financial support offering tailored financial planning, early-stage investments, fundraising strategies, and financial literacy.
- Technical support that will help with technical and technology design, regulatory frameworks, digital solutions, and communication strategies.
- Legal support providing guidance on legal structuring and governance, including statutes and governance rules, contracting and regulatory compliance.
- Stakeholder engagement support to foster inclusivity through community dialogues, behavioural insights, and targeting underrepresented groups.
- Capacity-building support to help navigate energy-sharing, consumer protection, support schemes, and long-term skills development.
What’s Included in the TA Programme?
Participants of the TA programme will receive between 20 to 40 days of support through 3 streamed pathways that will match them with national experts who best suit their needs. The 3 pathways are:
- Light: offering support in up to 2 support categories through approximately 20 days of expert support.
- Moderate: offering support in up to 3 support categories through approximately 30 days of expert support.
- Intensive: offering support in up to 4 support categories through approximately 40 days of expert support.
The TA programme will also provide an opportunity to participate in a twinning programme, linking projects from different countries and with varying levels of maturity for a peer learning experience.
