European Week of Regions and Cities 2025: Shaping Tomorrow, Together

The European Week of Regions and Cities (EURegionsWeek) returns from 13 to 15 October 2025 in Brussels, co-organised by the European Commission’s DG REGIO and the European Committee of the Regions. Now in its 23rd edition, the event remains the leading platform for dialogue on Cohesion Policy, multilevel governance, and local development in Europe.

This year’s motto, “Shaping Tomorrow, Together”, reflects the ambition to co-create policies that foster territorial resilience, economic growth, and social inclusion. The 2025 edition focuses on three priority themes:

  • Cohesion and Growth for the Future: modernising EU cohesion policy to deliver competitiveness, reforms and sustainable prosperity across all regions;
  • The Right to Stay: supporting vibrant territories where people can thrive without leaving, through quality public services, education, and connectivity;
  • Cities Building Tomorrow: highlighting urban innovation in resilience, mobility, housing, climate action, digitalisation and public services.

The programme includes high-level debates, policy workshops, innovation sprints, interactive sessions and exhibitions. Key moments include the Opening Ceremony at the European Parliament, the REGIOSTARS Awards, and networking activities showcasing regional excellence and collaboration.

FEDARENE members are strongly encouraged to take part—whether in Brussels or via the “EURegionsWeek close to you” initiative, which extends the programme across Europe from 13 October to 30 November.
