REGILIENCE is hosting its seventh Open Training Session (OTS7) on 7 April 2025, from 11:00 to 12:30 CET, focusing on Just Resilience. As human-caused climate change continues to exacerbate extreme weather events across Europe, the need for inclusive and fair adaptation strategies becomes more urgent. This session will explore approaches to integrating equity and inclusivity into climate adaptation planning.
Following an introduction and presentation of the topic we will dive into strategies for assessing and addressing socio-economic disparities that increase climate vulnerability. We will then hear from experts about best practices and frameworks that promote justice and equity in climate resilience efforts, with a special focus on regional and local solutions. The session will conclude with an open discussion on the importance of leaving no one behind, exploring key insights and next steps for inclusive climate action

REGILIENCE is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. It aims to equip European regions with the tools and knowledge necessary to identify and address climate-related risks. Through collaboration with sister projects like ARSINOE, IMPETUS, and TransformAr, REGILIENCE enhances the capacity of seven focus regions to tackle the unavoidable impacts of climate change. The project offers a range of training opportunities, including tailored support services, peer-to-peer mentorship, and region-specific training sessions.
