Join Our Exclusive Mentoring Sessions on EU Funding for a Just Transition

The energy transition towards climate neutrality brings challenges and opportunities for regions across Europe. To support policymakers, regional authorities, and stakeholders in navigating this transition, we are launching a series of mentoring sessions dedicated of how energy efficiency first (EE1st) affects Just Transition , the Just Transition Mechanism and new funding schemes under the Social Climate Fund. The objective of this Mentoring program is to support Just Transition Regions and cities in the implementation of energy efficiency policies (including the Energy Efficiency First Principle). Our experts from energy agencies of the pilot regions of the Regio1st project, will provide some tailored and extensive mentoring to the participants.

This mentoring program is open mainly to professionals from cities and regions in Just Transition area, and /or having interest in implementing a climate and energy plan that involve tackling energy poverty, and enhancing energy affordability.

Learn about the structure, policies, and tools supporting a fair transition.
🎤 Speakers: Former Members of the European Parliament, DG Regio members and Just Transition Platform Ambassadors and experts.

🔹 Session 2 | May 15 (10:00 – 12:00 CET): Heat Energy Efficiency Transition: Decarbonisation of Heating in the Just Transition Areas
Explore real-world best practices and how different regions are implementing Just Transition strategies.
🎤 Speakers: DG ENER and a Representative from a Just Transition Region.
