Ready to boost your impact on the ground and connect with peers tackling the same challenges across Europe?
The Covenant of Mayors – Europe invites you to join the Peer Review Programme 2025-2026, a unique opportunity to learn, share, and lead the way on heating and cooling decarbonisation. This hands-on learning initiative is designed for regional and provincial authorities and not-for-profit organisations that support cities in developing and implementing Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs). The 2025-2026 edition will focus on a critical challenge: replacing inefficient or fossil-fuel-based thermal energy systems.
Between September 2025 and January 2026, selected participants will take part in three interactive online sessions designed to foster dialogue, peer exchange, and practical problem-solving. You’ll discuss real challenges, explore innovative solutions, and leave with a concrete roadmap for action in your territory.
You can apply as a mentee if you’re looking for fresh ideas and tailored guidance, or as a mentor if you’re ready to share your experience and inspire others. These roles are not exclusive: participants are welcome to take part as both mentor and mentee, depending on the topics and expertise involved. Whichever role you play, you’ll gain valuable insights, build lasting connections, and come away better equipped to support your municipalities.
The call is open to all Covenant Coordinators and Supporters in EU-27 and EFTA countries*. Not yet officially part of the Covenant? You’re still welcome, just finalise your registration before the programme starts.
* Eligible countries are EU-27 plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
Apply by 4 July 2025 (midnight CEST).
Successful applicants will be contacted by email by August 2025.
