REGILIENCE+
REGILIENCE+ builds on the original REGILIENCE project, continuing its mission to empower Europe’s regions and communities to adapt to climate change.
As a flagship initiative under the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, REGILIENCE+ aims to enrich and strengthen the existing climate knowledge offered by leading climate adaptation platforms, particularly Climate-ADAPT and MIP4Adapt, while bringing the latest available information on adaptation solutions to Local and Regional Authorities (LRAs) and supporting organisations. By providing tailored knowledge, tools, and resources, REGILIENCE+ seeks to drive the adoption of effective adaptation strategies across Europe, ensuring these solutions reach those who need them most. The project also aims to foster an understanding of the policy implications of adaptation solutions by EU, national, regional, and local policymakers, offering comprehensive and structured information and tailor-made services to National Adaptation Hubs and Mission actors.
Methodology and approach
REGILIENCE+ is built around three main components:
- Cooperation: REGILIENCE+ will establish interaction frameworks with other EU-funded projects, initiatives, and platforms to gather essential information and foster collaboration. This will ensure the comprehensive development of the inventory of adaptation solutions and will maximise the synergies across different adaptation efforts.
- Inventory of adaptation solutions: The project will create an inventory of solutions, featuring 150 proven adaptation-related case studies, tools, and options. These solutions will be integrated into key knowledge platforms like the EU Mission portal, making them accessible to different stakeholders across Europe.
- Knowledge dissemination: REGILIENCE+ will develop 70 multilingual communication products to disseminate knowledge from the inventory. These products will facilitate peer exchanges and capacity-building activities, ensuring that LRAs and supporting organisations can replicate successful case studies and tools.
