Materials such as opinion articles, conference highlights, and a policy brief on Outermost Regions from REGILIENCE are now available. Access these items on this page to learn more about how Outermost Regions are facing climate change and innovating to adapt to its effects.

Outermost Regions of the European Union are facing climate risks that necessitate ambitious climate adaptation efforts, a setting that has led these 9 regions to become innovators in climate adaptation measures. By piloting climate adaptation strategies, outermost regions are developing methods to strengthen resilience that apply not only to their home environment but also to the rest of Europe.

The REGILIENCE project collaborated with sister organisations to create a communication campaign that showcase climate adaptation work in Outermost Regions. Two FEDARENE members, the Regional Agency for Energy and Environment of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (AREAM) and the Gran Canaria Island Energy Council (CIEGC), actively participated in developing and shaping this campaign. On this page, you will find information and links showcasing Outermost Regions’ work.
