Join the webinar of the European City Facility (EUCF) for Slovenian stakeholders, where Miha Jensterle, EUCF country expert for Slovenia, will provide key information and recommendations on the initiative and invite interested municipalities to apply for the penultimate call for proposals. The online seminar will take place on Tuesday, 5th of October 2021 at 1 p.m. in the Zoom online environment.
The seminar will give you an overview of the EUCF initiative, which is created by cities for cities under the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (Horizon 2020). The initiative aims to help more than 200 municipalities across the European Union to develop an investment concept to improve their chances of obtaining the necessary investment funds.
The EUCF initiative addresses all municipalities and local authorities that have a huge potential to build and develop investment projects in the transition towards sustainable energy supply. Their potentials address the areas of public building renovation, renovation of residential and non-residential buildings, integrated renewables, smart grids, heat networks, sustainable mobility and innovative energy structures, etc. The initiative fosters the participation of smaller municipalities, which may link up with neighbouring or non-neighbouring municipalities sharing similar challenges in the field as part of the application process.
Participating municipalities will have the opportunity to compete again for a €60,000 grant to prepare an investment concept for a sustainability project. The grant will enable municipalities to provide technical, legal and professional assistance.
Registration is compulsory. The organiser, Skupnost občin Slovenije, will send registered participants a Zoom invitation link on the day of the event, based on the email address entered in the registration form.
