We invite you to join the very first ManagEnergy Master Class on Energy Communities in October 2024 – apply by 1 July!

Energy Communities can be strong drivers for a clean energy system in which citizens play a key part. Local energy sharing can speed up the clean energy transition. Energy agencies are key actors in harnessing the great potential of this new, but complex, instrument.

The aim of the Master Class is to develop the core competences of energy agencies and local authorities to facilitate and support the development of Energy Communities in their cities and regions.

Key topics include the European framework for Energy Communities, the promotion, start-up and operation of Energy Communities, financing, and successful examples.

The training will include problem-solving exercises, workshops, case studies and guest lectures from agencies and organisations sharing their experience in developing energy communities.

The Master Class will be delivered in a blended learning format:

  • 20 September – morning session online
  • 1-2 October – face-to-face session in Brussels
  • 18 October – morning session online

Financial support (up to a maximum of 550 Euro) is provided to selected participants for travel and accommodation costs. Participants who complete the Master Classes will receive a Digital Badge attesting their participation.
