Roger Léron Award Ceremony 2016

FEDARENE is delighted to invite you to the 2nd edition of the Roger Léron Award Ceremony!

The 15 June 2016 from 18:00 to 21:30 Brussels time Rue Ducale 1, 1000 Bruxelles, Belgique

The FEDARENE is delighted to invite you to the 2nd edition of the Roger Léron Award Ceremony which will take place on the 15th of June at the beautiful “Palais des Académies”, in Brussels, at 6 p.m.

As you may know, the Award was created last year in honour of Roger Léron, former president of FEDARENE and a life-long contributor to the regional and local sustainable energy field.

Indeed, the purpose of this award is to acknowledge a persistent and proactive commitment, contributing successfully to sustainable energy at the regional and/or local level in Europe. We believe that the regional and local levels of governance play a central role in energy and climate issues, through their prerogatives in many policy areas (energy, transport, housing…), their proximity to citizens, their thorough knowledge of the territory, and their greater flexibility than national governments.

The pre-selected nominees will be presented to you, and the winner (an individual or an organization) will receive the trophy during this ceremony.

This event is the opportunity to discover a number of less-known local initiatives in the field of sustainable energy, which deserves recognition, from individuals who have their territory’s future at heart. Members of the Award Jury and EU representatives will give speeches, the nominees will be introduced, and the evening will end with a celebratory cocktail.

Please see the PROGRAMME.

We are looking forward to seeing you in June!
