FEDARENE’s AI & Energy Working Group explores how artificial intelligence can enhance the energy transition — fostering innovation, standardisation, and ethical practices across Europe’s regions.

Objectives

Promote AI Integration

Encourage the adoption of artificial intelligence within energy and climate agencies to enhance efficiency, innovation, and decision-making.

Advance Innovation through EU Projects

Initiate and support EU-funded projects exploring AI applications in energy, fostering collaboration and technological progress across Europe.

Standardise and Share Best Practices

Develop common approaches to AI in the energy sector by exchanging experiences, mapping successful case studies, and working towards interoperable standards.

Inform Policy and Ethics

Contribute to policy discussions and frameworks that ensure the responsible use of AI in energy systems, addressing privacy, security, and ethical dimensions.
