FEDARENE’s Working Group on AI and Digitalisation explores how artificial intelligence and digital tools / platforms can enhance the energy transition — fostering innovation, standardisation, and ethical practices across Europe’s regions.

Objectives

Promote Integration of AI and Digitalisation

Encourage the adoption of artificial intelligence and digital tools / platforms within energy and climate agencies to enhance efficiency, innovation, and decision-making process.

Advance Innovation through EU Projects

Initiate and support EU-funded projects exploring AI applications in energy and climate, fostering collaboration and technological progress across Europe.

Standardise and Share Best Practices

Develop common approaches to AI and digitalisation in the energy and climate sector by exchanging experiences, mapping successful case studies, and working towards interoperable standards.

Inform Policy and Ethics

Contribute to policy discussions and frameworks that ensure the responsible use of AI and digital tools / platforms in energy systems, addressing privacy, security, and ethical dimensions.
