National Adaptation Hubs / Project partners

Adaptation Hubs seeks to accelerate the Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change by supporting its roll-out, reinforcing the Mission Implementation Platform, and promoting effective collaboration across all governance levels within Member States and throughout the EU.

The consortium consists of 32 partners, organised into the following categories and roles, with several partners fulfilling multiple functions:

  1. Horizontal experts: 12 institutions providing expertise in policy, peer learning, multi-level governance (ICLEI, IEECP, ERRIN, Joanneum), and climate change adaptation (FT, I-Catalist, CAS, CCU, REGEA, CEREMA, KLIMATORIUM, RISE). They will offer guidance on content, capacity building, and strategic direction to the consortium, with particular support for the National Adaptation Hubs (NAHs).
  2. Networks: 4 European networks of cities (ICLEI, ENC) and regions (FEDARENE, ERRIN) that will enhance project communication, dissemination, impact, and reach. They will also support the identification and recruitment of key multi-level stakeholders, who will participate in the NAHs and other project activities, creating mutual benefits.
  3. Regional coordinators: 5 partners (ICLEI, ENC, FEDARENE, ERRIN, IEECP) responsible for overall project management of NAHs, including internal communication and cooperation, activity and impact monitoring, and internal and external reporting.
  4. National experts: 27 partners already engaged in national climate change adaptation structures or well-positioned to establish them in their respective countries. The national experts will be supported by Horizontal Experts and Networks, benefiting not only from their knowledge and experience but also from their connections and stakeholder contacts.
