Despite the EU’s ambitious targets towards the fight against climate change, greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector keep increasing. Electricity can play a major role in the decarbonisation of such a sector that is still largely dominated by fossil fuels. So, what kind of opportunities exist for electricity to become an integral part of a sustainable transportation system? In this issue, you will find:
- An Edito on the crosssectoral dimension of electric mobility by Ulf Hansson, Vice President of FEDARENE for Mobility and Transport and Director of the Energy Agency for Southeast Sweden,
- A statement by Karima Delli, Member of the European Parliament, President of the Transport & Tourism Commission within the Parliament,
- Articles by two FEDARENE members (eNu – Energie- und Umweltagentur NÖ, B&SU – Beratungs- und Service Gesellschaft Umwelt and Institut Català d’Energia) sharing their experience on e-mobility,
- A focus on FEDARENE key events and an update on its ongoing European projects.
