The biogas plant in Formigara (Northern Italy) started its operation in June 2006 in the farm company “Agrosocietà” with the latest “UTS Italia” technology. The plant cost amounted to 3,500,000 Euro. The amount of utilized feedstock is around 50 tons of energy crops per day (including mais silage and other cereals silage) and 20-30 pig manure tons per day. The plant works with two primary digesters and two secondary ones, each one of 1700 m3.
