In his capacity as Vice-President for Industrial Competitiveness in the Energy Transition at FEDARENE, Mikel supports the network’s members by promoting industrial competitiveness to pursue a just and efficient energy transition.

Mikel recognises that industrial decarbonisation faces systemic challenges such as outdated infrastructure, complex regulations, and insufficient funding. During his current tenure as Vice-President, Mikel aims to support industrial regions across Europe who are facing difficulties in accelerating the energy transition without compromising competitiveness. He aims to achieve this mission by working closely with industrial stakeholders and will focus on accelerating the deployment of renewable energy, updating and improving electricity networks, and promoting innovative technologies.
