Brussels once again becomes the meeting point for Europe’s regions and cities this October, as the 24th edition of EURegionsWeek returns under the motto “Strong regions, strong Europe“
From 12 to 14 October 2026, the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) will bring thousands of participants to Brussels, spanning the European Parliament, the Jacques Delors Building, and the SQUARE Brussels Convention Centre.
Organised jointly by the European Committee of the Regions and European Commission’s DG REGIO, EURegionsWeek is the EU’s flagship annual event on cohesion policy. This year’s motto, “Strong regions, strong Europe,” sets the tone for three days exploring how place-based solutions help regions navigate geopolitical pressures, demographic change, and skills shortages.
Rather than a single conference, EURegionsWeek is a whole week made up of hundreds of sessions, including political debates, workshops, and TED-style talks, organised by regional and local authorities, EU institutions, and stakeholders from across Europe. Shared highlights for all participants include the Opening Ceremony, the REGIOSTARS Awards, and the Megalizzi–Niedzielski Prize ceremony.
Registration is mandatory for each session and runs on a first-come-first-served basis, with a deadline of 30 September.
