PUBLENEF Webinar – Supporting the implementation of Energy Efficiency Policies

During this webinar, the European Commission’s and the European Investment Bank’s offer of technical assistance were presented in detail. Regional Energy Agencies presented the key challenges and solutions when trying to up-scale investments in energy efficient streetlighting.

The 10 January 2018 from 11:00 to 13:00 Brussels time

The “putting energy efficiency first” principle set out in the “Clean Energy for All Europeans” package of the European Commission, is bound to the multilevel implementation of energy efficiency policies across Europe. To this end, technical assistance provided through the “Project Development Assistance” under Horizon2020 and through the EIB-ELENA facility plays a crucial role in building the required technical, economic and legal expertise and in preparing substantial investment programmes for energy efficiency. The PUBLENEF project is as well supporting this dynamic with a range of national, regional and local energy efficiency roadmaps, which tackle the specific needs of public authorities and utilize best practices from across Europe. Investments in the transition to energy efficient streetlighting is in particular starting to be a priority in many regions.
