LEADnet / Survey

Empowering local and regional authorities' clean energy transition capacities through digitalization and networking

Help LEADnet help you! – Take the survey on local energy transition needs and co-create with us the LEADnet platform

Planning and implementing the energy transition is a complex task. Local and regional authorities, energy agencies and technical teams must navigate a wide range of challenges, from developing effective energy plans and accessing the right tools and expertise to overcoming technical, financial and regulatory barriers.

But what kind of support would make their work easier and more effective?

As part of the LEADnet project, we are launching a survey to better understand the needs, priorities and challenges of the organisations working on the ground to advance the energy transition. Your input will help us design solutions that respond to real needs, rather than assumptions.

Why your input matters

LEADnet will develop an AI-powered platform and tailored capacity-building materials to support local and regional authorities, energy agencies and other relevant stakeholders in their energy transition planning and implementation. But first, we need to understand the people who will use them.

Through this survey, we want to learn more about your organisation’s experience, the obstacles you encounter, the skills and knowledge you need, and the tools or support that could help you move forward. Your feedback will help us identify:

  • Your main challenges and priorities: What makes energy planning and implementation difficult in your daily work?
  • Your training and capacity-building needs: Which skills, knowledge and resources would help you and your team?
  • The barriers to progress: What technical, economic, policy-related or other obstacles need to be addressed?
  • The tools and functionalities you need: How could a digital platform better support your work?
  • What makes learning and engagement effective: Which approaches and features could make capacity-building activities more useful and motivating?

From your feedback to practical solutions

The survey is an important first step in LEADnet’s user-centred approach. Its findings will contribute to the design of the future platform and its capacity-building resources, helping ensure that their content, functionalities and user experience reflect the realities of the organisations they aim to support.

The results will also inform further stakeholder engagement and co-design activities, bringing practitioners into the development process and helping translate their experiences into practical solutions.

By taking part, you can help ensure that the future LEADnet platform addresses the challenges that matter most to you and your organisation.

Have your say!

Are you working in a local or regional authority, an energy agency, a technical office or another organisation involved in energy planning and implementation?

We invite you to share your experience and contribute to shaping the future of LEADnet.

Your perspective matters. Together, we can help build more relevant tools, strengthen local capacity and support a more effective energy transition.
