Climate Neutrality Services

Seven energy agencies collaborated to create 15 Climate Neutrality Services, such as workshops, consulting, and training programmes, aimed at empowering communities and local governments to achieve climate neutrality.

The seven energy agencies involved in the REMARKABLE Climate Leaders project have developed 15 innovative Climate Neutrality Services, aimed at supporting local governments, businesses, and communities in their journey toward climate neutrality by 2050. These services range from workshops and training programmes to consulting services and one-stop shops, all designed to address various aspects of the transition. For example, Tipperary Energy Agency offers an emotion-based storytelling workshop that uses personal experiences and emotions to drive climate action, while the North-West Croatia Regional Energy and Climate Agency provides integrated energy, climate, and spatial planning services to help local governments embed climate goals into spatial development plans. These diverse services ensure that stakeholders are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively contribute to climate goals.

Each agency brings its expertise to the table, creating tailored services that address specific regional needs. The Regional Energy Agency of Upper Austria, for instance, has developed training programmes and simplified energy checks for local businesses, fostering engagement in the energy transition at the municipal level. Meanwhile, Escan Consulting focuses on supporting the creation of energy communities, empowering citizens and local authorities to collaborate on sustainable energy initiatives. Other agencies, like the Energy and Climate Agency of Podravje and North Sweden Energy Agency, offer comprehensive support for developing Climate Neutrality Roadmaps, ensuring that municipalities have clear, actionable plans to achieve their climate targets. Through these collaborative efforts, the agencies are driving meaningful progress toward a climate-neutral future across Europe.
