Nieves Franco Nestares

Passionate about European affairs and the role of regions in the energy transition, Nieves Franco is a Project Officer at FEDARENE, working on EU-funded projects in the field of energy and climate.

She holds a BSc Econ in European Union Studies and a Master’s degree in European Union Law. She brings extensive experience in international cooperation, stakeholder engagement and event management, with a particular interest in translating European policies into practical action at regional and local level.

At FEDARENE, she contributes to LIFE Clean Energy Transition projects focusing on building renovation, integrated home renovation services, capacity building, replication and policy uptake, while supporting cooperation and knowledge exchange among regions and energy agencies across Europe. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
