Over 3,200 people visited the exhibition and a lesser number attended the conference which ran in parallel. Andrew Bull, Severn Wye Energy Agency, gave a presentation at one of the two anaerobic-digestion and biogas sessions of the conference and a training session for AD plant operators was organised, and filmed, by Severn Wye .

The free training session covered the essential lessons for the maintenance of a healthy digester including topics such as best practice, emergency planning, gas alarms, and planning and permits. The main trainer was Amaya Arias-Garcia who is the Technical Director of GOALS, Project Management and Engineering Solutions.  She is hugely respected within the AD sector and is one of the best people in the UK to provide advice on this subject.  She was supported by Nick Green of the Environment Agency who provided the regulators view of best practice and some of the most important lessons learned to date.
