The Energy Communities Repository, an initiative launched by the European Commission in April 2022, organises an online webinar on 21 June to launch an open call for technical assistance for energy communities in Europe. Applications are open for communities at any stage of development, ranging from informal groups of locals wishing to carry out community energy projects to well-established legal entities having already developed projects but in need of support to do more.
The Energy Communities Repository will provide technical support to energy communities whose activities are primarily in urban areas. For rural communities, the Rural Energy Communities Advisory Hub, which will be launched on 17 June, will act as an extension of the repository, focusing on encouraging and enabling citizens, small businesses, farmers and local authorities to come together and set up energy communities in European rural areas. Both energy communities initiatives will be working closely together.
This webinar will take place online on 21st of June 2022 at 10 AM CET.
