Open Call for Replicators: Join the CLIMATEFIT Replication Programme

📆 Application period: March 4 – May 30, 2025

The Energy and Climate Agency of Podravje, invites local and regional public authorities to join the CLIMATEFIT Replication Programme, an initiative aimed at scaling up climate adaptation financing and establishing Local Resilience Taskforces (LRTs). Funded under Horizon Europe, this structured learning programme will equip participants with the knowledge and tools to unlock investments in climate resilience.

Why join?

Adapting to climate change requires substantial financial resources, but many European regions struggle to secure funding. CLIMATEFIT addresses this gap by analysing the financial ecosystem, identifying barriers and opportunities, and fostering collaboration between public authorities and financial actors. Participants will receive mentorship, peer learning, and tailored support to develop investment strategies for adaptation projects.

Programme structure

The programme consists of three interactive online workshops, guiding participants through key steps to build LRTs and access financing opportunities:

Learn from CLIMATEFIT mentors about successful LRT implementation and adaptation financing.
Engage in peer discussions to address common challenges and explore solutions.
Develop tailored investment strategies to strengthen local adaptation financing.

📌 Step 1 – Getting started: Introduction to CLIMATEFIT, discussion on local adaptation challenges, and initial insights into resilience financing.
📌 Step 2 – Working together: Deep dive into the LRT model, its role in accelerating resilience investments, and methods to foster public-private collaboration.
📌 Step 3 – Moving forward: Strategies to make adaptation projects bankable, apply CLIMATEFIT methodologies, and strengthen cooperation at regional and international levels.
