Planning Ahead: The Future of Sustainable Heating & Cooling
About the Event
Plan4Cold and ManagEnergy invite regional and local authorities to a webinar on 28 October presenting methodologies, tools and good practices for Sustainable Heating and Cooling plans
The PLAN4COLD project supports cities in Portugal, Italy and Greece in preparing for these new requirements, with replication activities in Spain and Croatia aimed at facilitating the transfer of knowledge, methodologies and solutions to other European contexts.
Local and regional energy agencies have a particularly important role to play in this process. With their technical expertise, knowledge of local and regional energy systems, and ability to facilitate cooperation between public authorities, energy stakeholders and other relevant actors, they can provide essential support to municipalities throughout the planning process. Energy agencies can also help translate policy objectives into locally appropriate measures, strengthen coordination across administrative levels, and contribute to the implementation and monitoring of heating and cooling plans beyond their initial development.
This webinar, organised by FEDARENE in the framework of PLAN4COLD, with the support of the ManagEnergy initiative, will provide an overview of the forthcoming planning requirements and examine how cities, regions and energy agencies can work together to address them. It will present the approach and experience of PLAN4COLD, highlight opportunities for replication, and provide interested organisations with an opportunity to engage with the project and support the transfer of its results beyond Southern Europe.
