From 24 to 27 February, the World Sustainable Energy Days will take places in Wels, Austria. The event will include conferences on how the energy transition can lead to energy efficiency, affordability, and resilience.

The next edition of the World Sustainable Energy Days will take place in Wels, Austria, from 24 to 27 February 2026. Hosted by OÖ Energiesparverband, the event will include multiple conferences on topics related to energy efficiency and climate neutrality.
With growing global competition and geopolitical uncertainty, the 2026 edition of the event will spotlight how the energy transition can lead to energy independence and affordability. The planned conferences will include the following:
Drawing an audience of over 650 participants from more than 60 countries, the World Sustainable Energy Days will present an opportunity for participants to network with energy transition professionals. The conference languages are English and German, and simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
A tradeshow, “WeBuild – Energiesparmesse”, will overlap with the World Sustainable Energy Days in Wels, taking place from 25 February to 1 March, offering an opportunity for participants to see showcases on product innovations from Austrian and international companies.
A call for papers and speakers to be showcased during the World Sustainable Energy Days is currently open until 10 October 2025.
