Homegrown Energy Webinar Series – Setting-up and management of energy communities

Join us on 25 June 2026 for the Session 4 of the EU Covenant of Mayors’ Homegrown Energy Webinar Series, on the Setting-up and management of energy communities!
The EU Covenant of Mayors has launched its Homegrown Energy Engagement Action to help municipalities become active enablers of energy communities in their territories.
As part of this engagement action, four online webinars will be held between May and June 2026, each lasting approximately one hour. Organised in collaboration with partner projects and initiatives including the Citizen Energy Advisory Hub, the ISLET project and ManagEnergy, the series is designed to accompany local authorities through the full lifecycle of energy communities: understanding what they are and why they matter, how to engage citizens, how to address specific contexts such as islands, and how to set up and manage a community in practice.

Session 4 – Setting-up and Management of Energy Communities
Drawing on the expertise of ManagEnergy, this last session will provide a comprehensive and hands-on overview of the full lifecycle of an energy community, focusing especially on the steps needed for a successful creation of the community, and those to make it sustainable.
