Alba Local Energy Agency

Alba Local Energy Agency (ALEA) was established in 2008 and is a nongovernmental non-profit organisation that aims to contribute to the sustainable development of Alba County by improving energy efficiency, energy management and energy use from renewable sources. 

Activities  

To support ALEA’s mission, the organisation offers the following services and activities, among more:  

• Developing energy planning at the county and local level; 

• Exchanging best practices and transferring skills by participating in European and national networks; 

• Providing technical assistance for the preparation of Energy Efficiency Improvement Programs for localities with a population of more than 5,000 inhabitants; 

• Offering specialised technical assistance for the preparation of Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) and Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs); 

• Organising campaigns and events related to energy efficiency and renewable energy sources; 

• Supporting educational classes for young people in energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and recycling; 

• Providing specialised technical assistance for the preparation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans.
