These are exciting times for Green Hysland. A year and a half into the project, the deployment of the pilot on the island of Mallorca is moving fast, and we are happy to report the major developments such as:
- The inauguration of the first renewable H2 plant in Spain, which gathered high-level guests including Spain’s Third Vice President and Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Teresa Ribera, and Francina Armengol, President of the Balearic Government;
- Developments concerning the Port of Palma, which will soon become energy self-sufficient thanks to Green Hysland;
- A complete summary of our first workshop on the island of Cres (HR) co-organised with REA Kvarner, including the recording and speakers’ slides;
- Information on the public procurement carried out by EMT Palma for the purchase of 5 electric buses;
- A report of the European Hydrogen Energy Conference (EHEC) 2022 conference, including Ursula Von der Leyen’s speech and our Green Hysland side event;
- Event not to be missed: Green Hysland workshop at the CIES Congress on 22 June in Palma de Mallorca;
- News from Green Hysland’s H2 Hysland Hub – an online space dedicated to EU initiatives working on H2 deployment in Islands!
- Results of the EU Islands Secretariat’s 2nd Call for technical assistance;
- Invitation to two exciting events hosted by Island Innovation: the Island Pavilion at the 2022 UN Ocean Conference taking place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 27 June to 1 July; and the Virtual Island Summit 2022 on 26 September – 2 October.
