REGILIENCE / Capacity Building
REGILIENCE project aims to foster the adoption and wide dissemination of regional climate resilience pathways, following a demand-driven approach and bearing in mind the expertise and knowledge acquired, as well as the solutions available from Innovation Packages and other sources.
The objective is to enable regions to co-design and finalize climate resilience pathways and to offer comprehensive support to regional and local changemakers. To do so, we provide a customised support service and peer-to-peer mentorship. We also coordinate the testing of public-private partnerships (PPPs), and organise the following training sessions:
- Open training sessions, to inform interested European regions and regional actors about available support (e.g. opportunities on the European level, tools and solutions, indicators, maladaptation, funding), and technical solutions for adaptation (sectoral solutions and good practice implementations). These sessions are available for all interested parties and will take place between March 2023 and 2025.
- Region-specific training sessions to provide demand-based information and dialogue opportunities for REGILIENCE focus regions on specific topics. The invitation will be jointly developed with each focus region and the language adapted to participants if possible.
Concept of the open training sessions
We aim for an interactive format including short presentations according to the topic of each session followed by discussions and good practice examples. We aim to have a “testimonial” at each session to motivate participants to replicate and provide concrete examples. The sessions will be divided into two cycles with a flexible structure to adjust the format according to the collected feedback from participants. Please see below more details about the two rounds:
