FEDARENE’s Working Group on Decarbonisation for Competitiveness is built on a core belief: decarbonisation is the key to ensuring industrial competitiveness in Europe. This initiative connects regional energy agencies, industries and policymakers to turn this belief into concrete results.

Objectives

Monitor & Inform

Understand, anticipate and inform FEDARENE members on the evolving political trends and practices in industrial sectors, from regulatory challenges to technological opportunities.

Promote Place-based industrial policy

Strengthen the strategic role of Regional and Local Energy Agencies as trusted partners for industries, policymakers, & EU institutions, ensuring that regional realities are taken into account at the EU level.

Support Capacity Building & Peer Learning

Share concrete solutions, best practices, and innovative approaches from European regions that deliver both competitiveness and decarbonisation benefits.

Support local and regional delivery

Identify and coordinate applications to new funding, financing, and partnership opportunities for FEDARENE members and support joint projects and scalable solutions.
