MEDCOP21 – Search of Intramediteranean cooperation experiences on adaptation and mitigation

In order to prepare for the World Climate Conference, COP 21 held in Paris in December 2015, the PACA region council will organize, next 4th and 5th of June, in Marseille, the MEDCOP21, inviting local authorities, civil society, enterprises, institutions. The purpose of this preparatory meeting is to propose a specific Mediterranean vision to fight against climate change.

As a matter of fact,  Mediteranee, due to its worldwide impact along centuries, may be a reference to give some ways in order to create new development, soberer, adapted to the coming society.

In this framework, Coop Dec and Eker Agencies received, from the PACA region council, the mission to identify and compile a « solutions agenda » to feed discussions during coming  MEDCOP21 in June. This agenda will present various shared stakeholders and many intra-Mediterranean cooperation experiences about how to adapt and fight against climate change.
