Tipperary Energy Agency has created an infographic of their highlights of 2013. The agency, based in Cahir, County Tipperary, has a growing team of twelve energy experts with experience in areas such as wind, biomass, energy management and water. “We operate as a not-for-profit public good consultancy”, said Paul Kenny, CEO. “This model enables us to provide cost-effective professional services at a local and national level”. . Some of the stand-out achievements from last year include making €760,000 in energy savings for Tipperary local authorities, 1000 local authority houses insulated and the official opening of Templederry community wind farm. Templederry is Ireland’s only community-owned wind farm and produces enough energy to power 3,500 homes. Another highlight was CEO Paul Kenny being named Green Leader of the Year at the 2013 Green Awards.
