PV-NET project: photovoltaic net-metering
Wednesday 25th June, 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Brussels
Photovoltaic net-metering is arguably one of the most effective schemes to promote renewable electricity in the liberalised electricity markets. Therefore, the “PV-NET” project consortium wished to present its project results so far to a large European audience in the framework of EUSEW (European Sustainable Energy Week) 2014. In this seminar, speakers and policymakers were invited to share their experiences and discuss the future of PV support schemes in Europe.
Presentation slides:
- Uptake of Solar PV energy through net metering, G.E.Georghiou (University of Cyprus)
- EU policy framework for renewable energy, P.Abreu Marques (DG Energy of the EC)
- Does PV need support schemes, A.Roesch (EPIA)
- PV Technologies & Storage, M.Meuris (Photovoltaic Technology Platform)
- PV Technology and consumers perspective, S. Zomer (RESCOOP.eu)
- PV integration into the market, P.Mandova (Eurelectric)
- First results of PV net metering implementation in Cyprus, I. Koumparou (University of Cyprus)
- Implementation of PV-NET metering in Portugal, W.Martins (AREAL energy agency, Portugal)
- Technical solutions and technology capabilities of PV net metering, P.Mrak (University of Maribor, Slovenia)
- Building on net metering experiences, the PV-NET optimization tool, G.Papagiannis (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki)
