The 14th edition of the Alba Green Energy Fair took place on 26 and 27 September 2026 at Carolina Mall in Alba Iulia and concluded after two days of workshops, exhibitions and events. It was organised by Alba Local Energy Agency in partnership with Alba County Council. The fair welcomed hundreds of citizens, companies, specialists and representatives of local authorities, all interested in energy sustainability.

Energy communities in focus

Cooperation and a decentralised energy transition were the themes of the 2026 edition. A dedicated workshop on energy communities drew citizens, homeowners’ associations and representatives of local public administrations. Associations with expertise in the field shared case studies and answered questions on the legislative framework, energy sharing and the steps needed to set up an energy community at local level.

Solutions for lower bills and more comfortable homes

Over the two days, exhibitors presented technologies for single homes and apartment blocks: high-efficiency heat pumps, air conditioning and ventilation systems with heat recovery, photovoltaic panels, storage solutions and smart home automation. Many companies also supported visitors through the whole process, from analysing consumption and designing the right solution to approvals, installation, commissioning and maintenance.

Exhibition diversity, innovation and electric mobility

This year’s edition stood out for a wider range of events within the fair:

  • Electric mobility: the space dedicated to electric vehicles continued to attract many enthusiasts, with dealers providing technical details about autonomy, operating costs and modern charging infrastructure.
  • Innovation: the “Eco Inventica” salon presented patented Romanian solutions in the field of sustainability. An “invention class” also took place, where inventors presented some of their inventions to young high school students from Alba Iulia and answered their questions.
  • Ecological education and prizes: the programme was completed by the kindergarten eco-show, with performances by the little ones, and by the fair’s raffle, where partner companies awarded prizes to participant.
