The ManagEnergy Master Class on Financial Instruments returns for its third edition in November 2024. Energy agencies and public authorities across Europe are invited to apply by 12 September to participate in this intensive 3-day training program. Delivered in a blended learning format, this Master Class is designed to strengthen the capacity, expertise, and knowledge of energy agencies in developing and utilizing a variety of financial instruments to advance sustainable energy projects.
This upcoming Master Class will provide participants with hands-on training and in-depth knowledge on financial mechanisms vital for driving energy investments. The program is structured as follows:
The blended learning format includes problem-solving exercises, workshops, case studies, and guest lectures from experts and leading organizations in the energy finance sector.
The aim of this module is to equip Energy Agencies with the core skills and competencies needed to implement sustainable energy projects through a range of financial models and instruments. Particular emphasis will be placed on three key project areas:
Participants will gain an overview of relevant financial mechanisms and instruments, focusing on the support energy agencies can provide to bring projects from concept to implementation. The program will explore case studies and success stories from across Europe, drawing on the experiences and knowledge of successful EU initiatives and projects.
This Master Class is ideal for staff from Energy Agencies and Regional and Local Authorities who are engaged in or planning sustainable energy projects with investment levels of €10-30 million. These projects align well with current funding opportunities such as LIFE PDA and ELENA facility schemes.

The Master Class will be delivered by leading experts from the North-West Croatia Regional Energy and Climate Agency (REGEA) and supported by guest speakers from key European institutions such as DG ENER, CINEA, and the European Investment Bank (EIB).
Financial support of up to €550 is available to help cover travel and accommodation costs for participants. Additionally, participants who complete the Master Class will receive a Digital Badge certifying their participation.
