Since its opening in 1997, the Max-Schmeling-Halle Berlin has been one of the biggest multifunctional arenas in the German capital region, hosting sports events, concerts, shows or conferences for up to 12,000 visitors. Thanks to the Berlin Energy Agency (BEA), the flat roof of the arena is now equipped with a photovoltaic system.
