Head of International Affairs at Auvergne-Rhône Alpes Energy Environment (FR)

Patrick is the Head of International Affairs at Auvergne Rhône-Alpes EnergyEnvironnement (AURA-EE), the regional
energy and environment agency in Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, France. He has been involved in the energy sector since 1990, working for the energy industry in particular energy management systems for about 20 years at international level in Asia, Italy, USA and for the energy agency since 2009.

Patrick has coordinated or been involved in over 20 EU projects. He is currently the project coordinator of the Alpine Space ALPGRIDS project focusing on energy communities and microgrids.

Patrick has been expert to the rapporteur of the Committee of the Regions for the 2012 EU directive on Energy Efficiency. He’s nowadays leading the Action Group of the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) on sustainable energy.
