One more step for offshore wind energy ! Energy ministers for the eight countries from the Baltic Sea region and Kadri Simson signed a declaration for closer cooperation on offshore wind !

On September 30th, Energy ministers for Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden and the Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson signed a declaration stating their commitment to closer cooperation on offshore wind in the Baltic Sea.
Why such a declaration?
Aware of this significant opportunity, the Energy Ministers for the eight EU Member States and Kadri Simson embraced the idea of a new special working area within the high-level group of the Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan (BEMIP).
