European Bioenergy Future Conference

As part of the European Bioenergy Future conference organised by Bioenergy Europe, FEDARENE invites you to a session on local bioenergy markets.

The 29 November 2023 from 16:00 to 17:30 Brussels time

In cooperation with Bioenergy Europe, FEDARENE is pleased to announce its participation in a session of the European Bioenergy Future (EBF) conference that will take place on 28 – 29 November 2023 at BluePoint Brussels (Blvd Auguste Reyers 80, 1030). The EBF in one of the leading event for the European bioenergy sector, bringing together policy and market actors.

Currently, the bioenergy sector finds itself in a very complex situation: expanding its scope to reach net-zero objectives, but also facing challenges arising from the geopolitical and economic contexts. The EBF2023 conference will bring together a wide diversity of speakers to provide participants with updated knowledge on EU policy context and market trends as well as to offer networking opportunities. Therefore, the EBF will showcase different topics thanks a series of sessions.


FEDARENE is glad to present its session on regional bioenergy markets happening on the 29th November from 16:00 until 17:30.

This session, organized as part of the Energy Efficiency Watch LIFE Project, will bring together several speakers from regions and local/regional energy agencies to showcase their local initiatives focusing on the uptake of the bioenergy market within the broader Green Deal roll-out.

The panel will be composed of:

  • Christiane Egger, FEDARENE Vice-president and deputy manager of the Upper Austria Energy agency
  • Ricardo González, Head of the external relations department of the Castilla y León Energy Agency
  • Etienne Vienot, Head of European and International affairs of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Energy agency
  • Matteo Mazzolini, Director of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Energy Agency

Time for debate will allow you to discuss further local bioenergy solutions rollout.
