Launch of EU Peers – Community of Practice for Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS)

The EU Peers project held its Kick-off Meeting during 28-29 September. EU Peers aims to support the development and promotion of Integrated Home Renovation Services (IHRS) as key tools for accelerating residential energy renovation in the European Union.

Its overarching goal is to create a European Community of Practice, bringing together IHRS practitioners and stakeholders to strengthen and expand the One-Stop-Shop concept.

The Community of Practice will be launched shortly, emphasizing its support for the establishment and enhancement of IHRS. The inclusive Community will provide multiple entry points and participation opportunities in order to provide the maximum benefit to its members. For this purpose, 7 Community platforms for 6 priority countries (IT, FR, ES, LV, HU, IRE) will be established, anticipating the replication in other EU countries. At least 45 meetings for exchange and collaboration will take place at national and European level.

The Kick-off Meeting was instrumental in ensuring all project partners share a common understanding of the project’s objectives and implementation. This alignment will be crucial for coordinated and effective cooperation among the partners throughout the project.

In the months and years ahead, EU Peers will work diligently to cultivate IHRS, strengthen connections among practitioners and stakeholders, and contribute to a more sustainable residential sector. The Community of Practice is poised to play a crucial role in advancing innovation in residential energy renovation.
