The Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Agency “AE3R Ploiesti-Prahova” and the County Council of Calarasi, Republic of Moldova, initiated the procedure for the elaboration of energy audits for two emblematic high schools in Calarasi, namely “Mihail Sadoveanu” Theoretical High School and “Vasile Alecsandri” Theoretical High School. The project is the result of the requests from the representatives of the County Council of Calarasi, taking into consideration the collaboration agreement signed the Agency and the Council. These audits are absolutely necessary in order to reduce energy consumption. The energy audits are free of charge, as part of the activities that the Agency is taking in order to encourage the use of RES and improve energy efficiency.
In addition, AE3R Ploiesti-Prahova participated in various meetings with local public authorities in the County of Calarasi, Republic of Moldova and the Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion Association (AESPN), in order to identify the ways in which AE3R can come to their assistance for the development of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. This project is a consequence of these meetings.
The agency proposed to the representatives of the County Council of Calarasi that the AE3R should assist them in elaborating the necessary studies and offer them technical expertise for refurbishment or attracting funds to implement the recommended energy efficiency measures. It was also proposed that a subsidiary office of the AE3R would be to set up in the Calarasi County in order to facilitate the exchange of information and professional training in the energy field.
