Michael Geissler has been managing director of the Berlin Energy Agency (BEA) since 1997. After his studies in Process and Environmental Engineering, he worked as a project manager for the former Bewag AG (now: Vattenfall Europe SE). Later on, he worked as a freelance consulting engineer. After a further degree in Industrial Economics, Michael Geissler joined the Berlin Energy Agency as an associate director in 1994, building up the technology and project department. He has been holding the position of Secretary-General of FEDARENE since the year 2000.
