BiogasAction – New developments in Latvia

During the first 1 year and a half of BiogasAction, the engineering consulting company Ekodoma worked on different tasks in order to promote and fulfil the targets in BiogasAction and the different challenges in Latvia.

The Smart Specialisation Platform on Bioenergy

The Smart Specialisation Platform on Bioenergy (S3P) is a tool to improve interregional cooperation through specialisation. From spring 2015 EC launched the initiative of the Smart Specialisation Platforms (S3P) as a joint initiative of the Directorates-General for Regional and Urban Policy, Energy, and the Joint Research Centre (JRC). Energy being a crucial societal challenge for Europe, the pace of development quickly picked up and the S3P-Energy emerged.

BiogasAction – New developments in Croatia

During the first 1 year and a half of BiogasAction, the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar, EIHP, was optimistic in the new Government to tackle burning energy sector issues, starting from renewing 2009 Energy Strategy, NREAP renewal, biofuels on market, financing on contracted renewable energy projects… and fast and smooth transition to from feed-in system to market premium.

BiogasAction – New developments in Czech Republic

Biogas industry is well developed in the Czech Republic since 2005 , based on the first Renewable Energy Act ever (180/2005 Coll.) Feed-in-tariffs and green bonuses on electricity were also introduced.
