As the 15-year anniversary of the Covenant of Mayors – Europe is approaching, it is time to reflect on the accomplishments of cities, regions and energy agencies in the past years and anticipate their pivotal role in shaping a new era of climate action ahead.
The high level event, titled Conference of Mayors: Translating the EU Green Deal into local actions, was organised by the Flemish Government within the framework of the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council. The event took place in Brussels on the 15th of March 2024, split between morning sessions hosted by the European Parliament, and 3 afternoon parallel sessions hosted by the Committee of the Regions.
On July 14 the ENERGee Watch Best Practice Roundtable provided participants with networking and exchange opportunities on their main achievements and current challenges in their region. The project’s final event took place in Ireland, during the FEDARENE General Assembly.
