In its new PV strategy, the region of Upper Austria has set itself the clear goal of achieving 200,000 roof-top PV systems by 2030.

In its new PV strategy, the region of Upper Austria has set itself the clear goal of achieving 200,000 roof-top PV systems by 2030, thus increasing its solar power tenfold! To drive this ambition, the regional government and OÖ Energiesparverband (ESV) have launched a new large solar campaign, “Solar. Sonnenklar”. The campaign targets buildings in all sectors and reaches out to a range of stakeholder groups.
As one part of the campaign, a competition is currently underway to name the region’s Solar. Champions. Prizes will be awarded in 3 categories: “Proud of solar“, “Creative with solar” and “Solar innovations“. Every individual, group, or organisation that has implemented a solar project in Upper Austria or that is interested in the topic is invited to participate. All solar projects are welcome, regardless of how small or large! Submission deadline 31 August 2021.
