Biogas Action – Business model for Haderup Denmark
A local farmer in the northern part of Denmark was considering building a biogas farmer plant. In order to help him, BiogasAction made a number of different calculations based on different tools in order to give him an impression of the amount of financing needed.

A local farmer in the northern part of Denmark was considering building a biogas farmer plant and was looking at new opportunities for his farm. In order to help him, BiogasAction made a number of different calculations based on different tools in order to give him an impression of the amount of financing needed. The good practice is not the specific case, but the way different tools are used to make a business model for a new biogas plant. By using different results from different tools and calculate an average from the different models, BiogasAction was able to come up with a model showing both high, low and average results. This result was combined with figures from plants in operation.
Aims and objectives of this action
The aim of this action was to:
- Use previous EU and national models for calculating biogas production and the economy
within a biogas project. - To come up with a specific case, that could be realistic.
Results and contribution from BiogasAction
BiogasAction made it possible to get an overview of the different models and via www.biogasAction.eu it is possible to find all the models.
