Energy Consulting Network
Made up of energy consultants and planners located in the Copenhagen region of Denmark, EC Network’s mission is to contribute to the implementation and dissemination of sustainable energy and environmental systems.
Energy Consulting Network (EC Network) is a company of energy consultants and planners. The organisation was established in April 2000 and is located in the Copenhagen region. The mission of EC Network is to contribute to the implementation and dissemination of sustainable energy and environmental systems.
The main activity of EC Network is consultancy, with the company incorporating practices of overall planning, energy economy, training, capacity building, policy advice, design and implementation of energy and environment projects, and monitoring & evaluation of project progress. The partners in EC Network form an experienced group of energy planners, financial experts, policy advisors, management consultants and technical experts.
Core areas of competencies encompass:
- Strategy, policy, and management in general within the overall energy sector;
- Strategic energy planning;
- Renewable Energy;
- District Heating and Combined Heat and Power;
- Energy projects at end-users (buildings and industries).
Projects
Below is a list of recent and ongoing project activities, with details of the organisation’s roles in each project:
- Sustainable Energy Investment Forum – SEI Forums, Phase 1 and 2 (service-contract for EU Commission, 2016-2023): Organising a series of events across the EU to showcase best practices in developing investment projects and programmes in sustainable energy, and engage dialogue with the financial sector, public authorities, and all stakeholders involved in delivering investments in sustainable energy.
- RoundBaltic (H2020, 2019-2022): Aiming to support the implementation of the Smart Finance for Smart Buildings initiative in the Baltic Sea Region, notably the project’s direct target countries, Poland, Latvia, and Denmark.
- European City Facility (H2020, 2019–2022): Boosting project aggregation and building a substantial pipeline of energy efficiency investment projects across Europe to transform overall long-term strategies developed by local authorities, e.g. Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) or similar, into credible investment concepts. Serving as a country expert for Denmark.
- INTENSSS-PA (H2020, 2016 – 2018): Supporting European regions/local authorities in integrating the energy theme with spatial planning. Stakeholder involvement takes place through Regional Living Labs, facilitating public authorities’ engagement with civil society.
- BiogasAction (H2020): Developing tools and overcoming barriers for biogas utilisation in nine regions. Cooperating with the Danish Technology Centre for Biogas to develop the Danish biogas sector
